Prez Weekend 2010 - Adriane learns to Ski, Tim to love snowmobiles

I thought it would be forever before Adriane tried skiing, but somehow she was convinced. Many thanks go to Tim R. for his patient tutelage.

Although I don’t have any photos of it at this time, we also had a blast snowmobiling; to the extent that Tim might’ve found a new hobby.

Lastly, I think it ‘s worth mentioning that it’s a bad idea to even speak about the ghost of the house, even if you’re not badmouthing him. In an act of mischief, the key to my Thule managed to go missing for our first day up there. Just long enough for us to blow $90 for replacements.

I gotta say, the functionality of iWeb is pretty substantial, gien that it comes as part of iLife. In a past life I created a photo gallery management tool, but this definitely takes the cake. Full integration with iPhoto means there will hopefully be more albums to come in the future!

Project Added - export to Audi MMI

So I’ve created a Projects page (using iWeb’s blog feature) to highlight the various things I’m working on in my free time. The first one is now up, an AppleScript I wrote to export my iTunes songs and playlists into a format that my Audi RS 4 could read (off a memory stick).

Trying out iWeb for managing my site content

So, it’s been years since I built anything out on my website.

Back when I was building websites for a living, I started to upgrade it with this monstrosity of a dynamic Flash + XML + video + database portal that was supposed to be the dog’s bollox. Alas, it never came to fruition. I do have something to see here, but we’ll get into that on another posting.

Anyway, I’ve decided to use a much simpler and friendlier approach, and attempt to manage it all in iWeb. We’ll see how this goes...
